Official
The goal of this project was to create a shoe with an accommodating fit, durability, comfort, functionality, environmental focus, and reasonable price point. This project was intended to be a suitable shoe for almost any task; a work/hiking/casual shoe.
I worked closely with both John Fluevog as well as the in-house 3D Designer and Developer to develop, prototype and perfect the sole and test it for functionality and durability to ensure they meet the company standards.
We developed a sole in Portugal to use an EcoRubber material that performs as well as synthetic rubber but utilizes 70% recycled material. This shoe also has a 20% recycled OrthoLite® Hybrid™ moulded insole for additional comfort.
I developed and designed a variety of the uppers featured on this construction. This construction has since become a staple within the collection.
Viberg
A collaboration to celebrate 50 years of Fluevog and 100 years of Viberg. Working directly with Brett Viberg, the boot references Fluevog’s original boxer-inspired Racer Boot, is made using iconic Black and Colour 8 Chromexcel leather from heritage Chicago tannery, Horween.
The two-tone lace-to-toe boot features a 5 eyelet pattern with 4 speedhooks, and is capped off with two lace options, black waxed cotton and leather Fluevog turquoise laces.

Celestial Communication
A classic high-heel made with a cemented construction, a four-inch scrolled heel that was developed and modeled in-house with our 3d design developer. All uppers follow a similar style direction.

Collaborations
During the past ten years I've had opportunities to collaborate on footwear and accessories with inspiring personalities. As a participant and sometimes project lead, I've ensured both brands are represented well throughout the process and in the final product.
It has been a dream being able to work with and meet many of my personal icons.
Hardware
I worked with the in-house 3D department to make various hardware for both footwear and accessories. Inspired by both vintage and existing hardware, we created new and functional pieces suitable to the line.
Together we prototyped and refined the shapes to create the final products.
